A professional writer has the skills to write your project well -- in less time. Save your staff the extra headaches and let Scriptorium do the writing for you. We work with people in a variety of positions from management to field crews and are comfortable gathering information from sources in the office and in the field. With a combination of first hand interviews and secondary research, Scriptorium writers craft a written product that reflects your company's needs and message leaving no trace of our involvement. Our team is comprised of well-trained and experienced writers who love what they do. Annette Wierstra (Senior Partner) is a technical writer who has been writing professionally for over 10 years. She has experience creating and managing multiple training and procedural projects with a focus on water and wastewater treatment, software and policy manuals. Annette has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta but it was at Grant MacEwan where she discovered her true calling. While earning her Bachelor of Applied Communications in Professional Writing Annette discovered that she actually liked technical documentation and organizing information. She started her technical writing career working at EPCOR Water Services for four years. Before working as a technical writer, Annette worked as a journalist and managing editor. She also wrote, managed and developed content for websites. Her varied experience means that she has a range of writing and project management skills to create your project deliverable. In her spare time, Annette also teaches technical writing in the Professional Writing program at Grant MacEwan Community College. Pamela Scott (Senior Partner) has always loved to write but it wasn't until she found a way to marry her logical and practical side with her creative side, that she found her career. After 7 years working in customer service, she went to Grant Macewan and took one year of general studies hoping to find that elusive "love'. She fell in love with professional writing and thought she might be a speechwriter until she discovered Technical writing. Pamela completed her Diploma in Professional Writing in 2004. She then began working as a technical writer for EPCOR until a new career choose her. Pamela has always been happiest and most effective when she has lots of things on the go, so right now with managing a family and business she says, "I feel like I finally got it right." Linda Moore (Junior Writer) is a 4th year student in the Bachelor of Applied Communications in Professional Writing program, School of Communications, at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta. While completing her degree, Linda has had opportunities to develop and write technical materials for small businesses in the Edmonton area. Some projects she has developed and written are a procedural manual, parts of an Environmental Health Safety and Safety program, and a human resources policy manual. Linda joined the Scriptorium team in May, 2009, and offers her ability to organize information into a user-friendly order, and to write procedural and instructional materials in plain language while maintaining a personable writing style that appeals to her audience. |
