I met Mike Agouros, CEO of Dial Tone M.D., at a hockey tournament. I had gone to cheer on the pickup team for which he happened to be playing. The players, families, and friends mingled throughout the weekend, and work naturally comes up in small talk. At the time, I was still operating under the sole proprietorship Dotting Eyes. Not long after that weekend, Mike reached out about this “writing stuff” I did.
Dial Tone M.D. had started as a guy with a truck and a dream. New equipment, more employees, and an expanding client list meant Dial Tone M.D. had outgrown its basic documentation. On top of managing the company and still working in the field, Mike needed to update his safety and HR manuals, customize forms, and roll it all out in order to continue operating legally and efficiently. He was passionate about telecommunications and his company, but technical writing…? Not so much.
As a technical writer, I had experience writing and formatting the documents he needed. I enjoyed that type of work, so I was much less miserable about the task than Mike. And, since I specialized in documentation, I was able to answer questions and make suggestions.
“The relationship between Scriptorium and Dial Tone has been long and very valuable. They have proven extremely easy to work with and are always consummate professionals.” – Mike Agouros, CEO of Dial Tone M.D.
We have worked with several members of his growing team, including a safety advisor, IT specialist, and web designer, and have assisted with his writing needs when and as needed. Projects have included forms, employee manuals, procedures, and marketing materials.
Scriptorium offers Dial Tone M.D., like many of our clients who do not have in-house writers, benefits such as:
